Welcome to Drifters Inn, a unique lodge style accommodation in the heart of our alpine village Hanmer Springs.

We are Adele and Andy, and Drifters Inn is our little corner of Hanmer Springs. We have been here 12 years now and enjoy meeting the people who come through our doors, looking after the little things and helping out where we can.

We do our best to ensure you enjoy your stay! We like keeping things friendly, relaxed and easy. We live on site, are often out and about in the motel but very easy to reach if you have any questions, want some local advice or just need something. We have learnt where to find a good coffee, walks worth doing, where to eat when you don’t feel like cooking, and what to do when the weather has other ideas.

If it is not us in reception, it is likely to be one of our two grown up girls Aimee or Alessandra that will be helping us out. It is definitely a kiwi run, family owned and loved business.

We feel Drifters Inn is unique, and are really proud to be able to offer that something different when there is a lot of choice available.

There is a guest kitchen, a lounge, a few places to sit and plenty of opportunity to do your own thing. Some guests like a chat, others are happy to quietly disappear to their room or behind their book or coffee. Both are perfectly fine and we love that about Drifters Inn, it accommodates everyone.

We love seeing the returning faces, having the privilege that our guests want to return and obviously we enjoy meeting new guests.

We have still got more to give and lots more to do. It is just like your home, you always want to change something, and it seems the project is never finished.
